Beide plaatsen zijn pareltjes vanwege hun bijzondere ligging, u zult er geen spijt van krijgen. Met de kinderen gaat u een dagje naar het dierenpark bij Gramat (17 km) of naar het recreatiemeer bij Tauriac (41 km). Tennisbaan, supermarkt, markt, bakker en restaurant in Labastide-Murat (9 km). 9-Holes golfbaan bij Montal (39 km) en 18-holes golfbaan bij Souillac (37 km).

Ook beschikt u over een grote serre waar het heerlijk toeven is, zeker in de wat koelere perioden. De comfortabele inrichting is zeer verzorgd. Ruime woonkamer met zithoek rond de open haard, TV, DVD, stereo (radio/cd), eethoek en openslaande deuren naar serre. Aparte keuken met afwasmachine, magnetron en ontbijthoek. Slaapkamers 1 en 2: elk met een 2-pers.bed. Badkamer met bad. Apart toilet. Slaapkamer 3: een 2-pers.bed. Slaapkamer 4: twee 1-pers.bedden. Badkamer met douche en toilet. Slaapkamers 3 en 4 en de tweede badkamer zijn ook afzonderlijk via een eigen buitendeur te bereiken. Beneden in het souterrain is ruimte voor opslag van bijvoorbeeld fietsen. Naast het zwembad is een spiksplinternieuwe (gebouwd in 2011) studio met slaapkamer 5: een 2-pers.bed en deur naar het terras. (Derde) badkamer met douche en (derde) toilet. Deze studio kunt u tegen een toeslag huren. De eigenaar bewoont naast het huis een eigen studio. Hij is zeer discreet, respecteert uw privacy en maakt geen gebruik van het zwembad. Wasmachine. Vrijstaand vakantiehuis in de buurt van de toeristische toppers van het departement Lot-Quercy. We beginnen bij de parel van het departement: Rocamadour (16 km)! De weg er naartoe is al de moeite waard en na de laatste bocht valt uw mond open van verbazing als u dit verticale plaatsje ziet. Het is gebouwd tegen de rotsen en via de 233 treden tellende trap komt u boven aan bij het klooster, het kasteel en het mooiste uitzicht dat u zich maar kunt wensen. Na zo'n klim heeft u wel een verkoelend drankje verdiend en komt u even bij op een van de gezellige terrasjes. Aan de andere kant van Thégra vinden we diverse dorpjes die zeker de moeite waard zijn. Hoog op de rotsen, boven de Dordogne-vallei, ligt het Château de Castelnau-Bretenoux (13 km). Dit indrukwekkende kasteel uit de 18e eeuw laat zien hoe een kasteel moet zijn, de kinderen vinden het fantastisch. Van Bretenoux terug naar huis komt u langs nog twee plaatsjes die u gezien moet hebben. Vlakbij Loubressac liggen de grotten van Padirac (7 km). Dit is een van de belangrijkste grotten van Frankrijk en u bezoekt deze zowel te voet als per boot, een unieke ervaring. Vervolgens rijdt u door richting Autoire (4 km) en let u dan vooral op al die kleine stenen muurtjes met de schapen erachter, zo typisch voor dit gebied. In Autoire aangekomen zijn de indrukwekkende steile rotsen het eerste dat u opvalt. Dit dorpje met prachtige huizen met bewerkte gevels en een aantal leuke torentjes is echt een verloren schat die wacht tot u hem ontdekt. Golfbaan in Montal (10 km). Bakker in Thégra, overige boodschappen en restaurants in Gramat (8 km).

Met veel liefde en aandacht is dit witte huisje in 2010 volledig gerenoveerd tot een comfortabel, geheel gelijkvloers vakantiehuis. Het ligt aan de rand van een gehuchtje en wordt omringd door een heerlijke omheinde tuin van 2000 m2. Aan de achterkant kijkt u vanaf het overdekte terrasje uit over de beboste heuvels en de weilanden. Het grasveld loopt hier naar beneden, pas op de kleintjes. Aan de voorkant beschikt u over een zonnig terras met tuinmeubilair, parasol en pergola. Vergeet u niet de druiven te plukken die aan de pergola groeien? De kinderen klauteren op het speeltoestel of spelen een partijtje jeu-de-boules op de oprijlaan. Maar het liefst spetteren zij in het privé-zwembad (8 x 4 m, diep 0.60 - 1.60 m) terwijl u in de buitenkeuken (met koelkast) de BBQ aansteekt voor een heerlijke maaltijd. Het interieur van uw vakantiehuis is netjes en verzorgd. Woonkamer met comfortabele zithoek, houtkachel, TV, DVD, stereo (radio/cd) en schuifdeuren naar het terras. Vrijstaand vakantiehuis in de Charente

In het dorpje Mosnac ligt een mooi vakantiehuis in de typische stijl van de Charente uit de 19e eeuw. Het ziet er stijlvol uit met de kenmerkende blauwe luiken en lichte steen. Binnen is het huis van alle gemakken voorzien.

Naast het huis ligt een heerlijk privézwembad en er staat ook een barbecue.

Tijdens je verblijf staat een boot voor twee personen tot je beschikking. Hiermee kun je het bekken van Arcachon ontdekken.
Een andere manier waarop je deze regio goed kunt leren kennen is om de traditionele streekgerechten te gaan proeven in de restaurantjes in de buurt.

Op natuur-historisch gebied zijn er de middeleeuwse stadjes Rocamadour, St.Cirq-la-Popie, Sarlat, de grotten van Domme, Lascaux en Padirac. Vlakbij is de Périgord, waarvan men zegt dat ze duizend en één kastelen rijk is. Niet te vergeten de markten, brocantes en zomerfeesten.

Alleenstaand en gelegen in een heuvelachtige vallei midden in de natuur staat het gezellige huisje Bordo Basso. Ideaal voor rustzoekers en wandelaars. Rondom het huis zijn er prachtige uitzichten over de vallei. Het mooie bastidedorpje Prayssas en het dorpje Laugnac (met enkele winkeltjes) zijn ongeveer op 5km van ons huisje gelegen.
De streek van de Lot en Garonne is de moeite waard om te vertoeven. Het is de omgeving van de fruitteelt, de wijn, de foie gras, de typische Franse dorpjes met hun bastides. U kunt er met volle teugen genieten van de natuur. De rivier Le Lot is per kano of gehuurde boot te bevaren, in de buurt zijn er verschillende mooie wandel- en fietsroutes. Op 15km liggen twee grotere leuke steden Agen en Villeneuve- sur -Lot, die u zeker moet bezoeken. Gekende wijnstreken zijn in de buurt gelegen zoals Bergerac, Cahors, Gascongne, Buzet.
Op wandelsfstand van ons huis is er het recreatiepark Domaine Lac de Negenou waar u gratis kunt zwemmen. U kunt hier ook waterfietsen, tennissen, er is ook een speeltuintje.

With their carefully considered fusion of hard rock bite and commercial appeal, gothic-tinged post-metal bands like Green Carnation, Anathema, and Lake of Tears are starting to look like the 2000s equivalent of '80s AOR groups like Journey, Styx, and Foreigner! Granted, there's no comparison in terms of geography (Europe vs. USA), or platinum awards earned (err, none vs. a whole lot), but consider that rock & roll's stature is significantly inferior in the 2000s than 20 years prior: and that both generations of bands evolved, by and large, from progressive metal/rock origins and...woooaaaah! Anyway, with or without such far-fetched conspiracy theories, suffice to say that Green Carnation fans have had to be very open minded as they watched the monolithic doom metal of their debut give way to their second's hour-long album suite (hello -- progressive!), followed by a sudden swerve toward conventionally sized, commercial metal songs with their third, A Blessing in Disguise, and then, finally, even more of the same for 2005's The Quiet Offspring. So for those fans who have stuck around (unlike most of the band's original membership) and new arrivals alike, suffice to say that the songs making up The Quiet Offspring follow a loosely conceptual premise based on childhood experiences, but otherwise stand utterly independently from each other. They also show quite inventive and mature songwriting instincts within their disciplined frames. Early highlights such as 'Between the Gentle Small and the Standing Tall' and 'A Place for Me,' while somewhat predictable, are worth their weight in gold thanks to atmospheric passages mostly achieved by stark piano work. And tougher, riff-based offerings like the title track, 'The Everlasting Moment,' and 'Dead But Dreaming' fare exceptionally well, too -- except when borrowing too obviously from the Mission UK (see 'Just When You Think It's Safe'). Then again, no complaints about main man Tchort's clever reinvention of Bronski Beat's 'Smalltown Boy' melody for his most aggressive number here, 'Pile of Doubt.' This juices up the album's distinctly mellower and more progressive second half, otherwise marked by a particularly evocative epic in 'When I Was You,' and the two-part 'Child's Play,' which, hardcore fans will notice, recycles one of Light of Day, Day of Darkness' most beautiful themes, and contains a few nods to Marillion, to boot. All told, these add up to a very strong set emphasizing songcraft above all else. The first four years of Billy Bragg's recording career (1982 to 1986) were a blur of record releases that established the froggy-voiced 'Bard from Barking' as perhaps the most powerful and engaging political songwriter to emerge since the 'folk scare' of the 1960s. From 1988 on, however, Bragg had the difficult task of living up to his own legacy, and that proved to be no small task: as he stylistically outgrew the rough electric guitar and vocal textures of Brewing Up with Billy Bragg and Life's a Riot with Spy vs. Spy, Bragg didn't display the same immediate skill at 'proper' record-making and took his time growing comfortable with the craft of the studio, and while he never ran out of things to write and sing about, as the 1980s faded into the 1990s his songs lost a certain amount of the sharp wit and keen focus that was second nature on his early records. (It also became clear the material was coming a lot more slowly, to boot.) This period of Bragg's career is documented on Volume 2, the second box set compiled from Bragg's back catalog, featuring expanded versions of four albums: 1988's Workers Playtime, 1991's Don't Try This at Home, 1996's William Bloke, and 2002's England, Half English. While none of these albums can be called bad, very little of what's featured on this set matches the consistent quality of the records compiled on the similar Volume 1 box, and even the best of the records featured here (Don't Try This at Home) falls slightly short of the wit and fire of Bragg's salad days. That said, while one has to pick and choose to find the pearls on Volume 2, they are certainly there, and Bragg has been generous with the bonus material on this set. Each album is accompanied by a bonus disc of demos, outtakes, single sides, and the like, and each is full of pleasant surprises for the completist (though they never quite equal the quality of the original albums) and offer an interesting look at how these albums came together. Volume 2 also comes with a book featuring song lyrics, credits, and an essay from Bragg's longtime manager, Peter Jenner, as well as a DVD that includes a show by Bragg and his band the Red Stars taped for the BBC at London's Town and Country Club in late 1991, as well as highlights from a spring 2006 gig in Bragg's hometown of Barking, Essex, with Bragg joined by former Faces keyboard man Ian McLagan. Each of the expanded albums included in Volume 2 has also been released individually, and some fans may prefer to pick and choose rather than buy the entire set, but as a whole, Volume 2 documents Billy Bragg as he struggles to balance musical and emotional maturity with the passion of his political ideals: the results may not be as engaging as Volume 1, but there's still a fascinating story to be found in this collection. ~ Mark Deming

Alleenstaand en gelegen in een heuvelachtige vallei midden in de natuur staat het gezellige huisje Bordo Basso. Ideaal voor rustzoekers en wandelaars. Rondom het huis zijn er prachtige uitzichten over de vallei. Het mooie bastidedorpje Prayssas en het dorpje Laugnac (met enkele winkeltjes) zijn ongeveer op 5km van ons huisje gelegen. De streek van de Lot en Garonne is de moeite waard om te vertoeven. Het is de omgeving van de fruitteelt, de wijn, de foie gras, de typische Franse dorpjes met hun bastides. U kunt er met volle teugen genieten van de natuur. De rivier Le Lot is per kano of gehuurde boot te bevaren, in de buurt zijn er verschillende mooie wandel- en fietsroutes. Op 15km liggen twee grotere leuke steden Agen en Villeneuve- sur -Lot, die u zeker moet bezoeken. Gekende wijnstreken zijn in de buurt gelegen zoals Bergerac, Cahors, Gascongne, Buzet. Op wandelsfstand van ons huis is er het recreatiepark Domaine Lac de Negenou waar u gratis kunt zwemmen. U kunt hier ook waterfietsen, tennissen, er is ook een speeltuintje.

With their carefully considered fusion of hard rock bite and commercial appeal, gothic-tinged post-metal bands like Green Carnation, Anathema, and Lake of Tears are starting to look like the 2000s equivalent of '80s AOR groups like Journey, Styx, and Foreigner! Granted, there's no comparison in terms of geography (Europe vs. USA), or platinum awards earned (err, none vs. a whole lot), but consider that rock & roll's stature is significantly inferior in the 2000s than 20 years prior: and that both generations of bands evolved, by and large, from progressive metal/rock origins and...woooaaaah! Anyway, with or without such far-fetched conspiracy theories, suffice to say that Green Carnation fans have had to be very open minded as they watched the monolithic doom metal of their debut give way to their second's hour-long album suite (hello -- progressive!), followed by a sudden swerve toward conventionally sized, commercial metal songs with their third, A Blessing in Disguise, and then, finally, even more of the same for 2005's The Quiet Offspring. So for those fans who have stuck around (unlike most of the band's original membership) and new arrivals alike, suffice to say that the songs making up The Quiet Offspring follow a loosely conceptual premise based on childhood experiences, but otherwise stand utterly independently from each other. They also show quite inventive and mature songwriting instincts within their disciplined frames. Early highlights such as 'Between the Gentle Small and the Standing Tall' and 'A Place for Me,' while somewhat predictable, are worth their weight in gold thanks to atmospheric passages mostly achieved by stark piano work. And tougher, riff-based offerings like the title track, 'The Everlasting Moment,' and 'Dead But Dreaming' fare exceptionally well, too -- except when borrowing too obviously from the Mission UK (see 'Just When You Think It's Safe'). Then again, no complaints about main man Tchort's clever reinvention of Bronski Beat's 'Smalltown Boy' melody for his most aggressive number here, 'Pile of Doubt.' This juices up the album's distinctly mellower and more progressive second half, otherwise marked by a particularly evocative epic in 'When I Was You,' and the two-part 'Child's Play,' which, hardcore fans will notice, recycles one of Light of Day, Day of Darkness' most beautiful themes, and contains a few nods to Marillion, to boot. All told, these add up to a very strong set emphasizing songcraft above all else.
